What I have found is that the larger wheel has more torque, so, rollers and hills are harder with the larger wheel. I'm able to continue to pedal faster for longer periods with the smaller wheel than with the 700c (I'm thinking of going to a 600c for the "Q").

Interesting that you are faster on the micro - I would have thought the smaller wheels on the microwere great for acceleration, but the 700c would be faster? I built a QNTaround XTR components, and it is pretty fast - until I spin out. Lots of hills locally so I am 18-96 on the gearing. I am thinking of building up an ICE Vortex 700 around SRAM XX components in a 3x10 gearing, 19-107 range. this would be initially for the Challenged Athlete 1/2 ironman in San Diego next October. Lots of hills, but plenty of fast flats as well. Any comments on 406 versus 70c experiences would be appreciated. Good luck overcoming your chemo challenges!
