The Constitution of the United States of America
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
In the Preamble to the Constitutuon of the United States, there are two words ”
provide” and “promote”, one means to “prepare in advance” (provide), the other to “contribute to the growth or prosperity of” (promote).
The only thing our founding father meant for our government to “provide” was the “common defense” of us all, not what we see going on today.
Our founders came from oppressive governments and knew that if the individual turned to the government for the necesities of life, they would be enslaved.
Personally I find it sad that many are freely willing to give up thier freedoms for so called “security”.
Anything from the government comes with a price, a price I am not willing to pay!
