As in past years, the week before the Seattle to Portland I ride a century to gauge my training, check for possible issues with the trike and get an idea for the potential perfomance for the double century.
Yesterday was a fast 100 miles! I averaged 19.1 mph in 90 degree heat! I’m a little red, still tired, but, this year’s STP looks to be another fast one.
I’ve also decided on the trike to ride this year… The Micro!
I still have some work to do on the “Q”, and over the winter will be able to complete the modifications.
For the remainder of the week, I’ll just to light trainer work , nothing hard, just enough to keep me loose.
