Tuesday night was interesting… WordPress 2.8 is close to be released anytime now, so I thought I would give WordPress 2.8 RC1 a try (remember, always have backups!). It has been my experience that release candidates are really close to the finished product, and for the most part will give you a good feel for what the “final release” is all about… I hope the WP 2.8 fairs better than WP 2.8 RC1.
I installed WordPress 2.8 RC1 and began testing.
Everything appeared to work, that is until I decided I wanted to change a few widgets around.
Grumbling and a few explatives later… I reverted back to WP 7.7.2 alpha. My widgets are now working properly and it looks like WP 2.8 will have to wait.
Wanting to get in a ride by the day’s end, “breaking” my site wasn’t on my schedule. I finished the “downgrade” of my site around 9:00pm. Back to the Future!
Riding an hour before bed usually isn’t a good thing and I avoid such sessions as much as possible, sometimes however, you just need to vent, I mean ride.
I rode to PodRunner’s latest podcst called “Transit Authority”, 159 bmp, 78 rpm. It was a great mix, nice beats, easy to get into the pace of training. Although, halfway into my training, I just wasn’t feeling it anymore (most likely because my bed was calling!)
