Note to self...

Always check your gear before heading off to ride!
This SHOULD be a “no brainer”, but I “assumed” everything was ok.
At the 55 mile point of the Pioneer Century today, I stopped to use the restroom, put my drinking tube over my seat and thought nothing of it.
When I got back to my trike, I got on and proceeded to ride… click, click, what the ?!? Only 10 feet into the rest of my ride and my trike is acting up!
I stop and checked everything out, guess what, my driking tube is wrapped around my rear cassette! Two problems with this: 1) No drinking tube and I can’t keep hydrated, ride over. 2) Shifting is near impossible, ride over!
I looked over the situation and decide to unwind the wayward hose.
Once I freed the hose, the only “damage” I found was a bend valve, still usable. I checked out the shifting and it’s working normally.
With everything back to working condition, I continue on my way – lessoned learned!
