Today is my birthday! 44 years on the planet and counting… I think I’ll go ride tonight… perhaps 44 miles!

    Happy Birthday Doug. So which trike tonight? Q or Micro?

    Thanks for the b-day wishes…

    I plan on riding the Micro tonight. I’m faster with it out of the two trikes. This Saturday is Portland Wheelman’s “Pioneer Century” and I plan on riding the Micro.

    Until I really sit down with the “Q” and dial it in (will use a 26″ wheel versus the 700c, finally mount the carbon seat, find the ideal seat angle, swap out the Durano’s with Kojak’s), looks like the Micro will be the trike of choice for the rest of the riding season.

    The “Q” is a great training platform though as it is and I ride it on some of my trianing rides to add extra effort.

    My top speed on the flats with the Micro is slower than the “Q”, but overall, I’m faster going up hill, and maintaining speeds on the Micro is also easier than the “Q”.

    It’s “real world” vs. “theory” – “real world” is winning!
