This past week I’ve been riding the “Q” (that’s what I’m calling the new trike) exclusively on the trainer. today I took it outside for it’s “maiden voyage”.
The route I choose is one I call “quick 40″ – a 40 mile loop that takes me from Newberg, through St. Paul, back around to Newberg. It has varied terrain from flat to somewhat hilly. I figured it would be a good test to see what the “Q” can do.
On the flats the “Q” seemed to easily get upto speed, on the downhills, handling was very stable (expected behavior from an ICE trike). Going up hill I was a little slower than expected. This of course I chalk up to being cooped up all winter (and the moring ride still being chilly).
Overall, the ride was quite nice, the “Q” handled very well and my initial average not to shabby!
