This morning went for a 40 miles ride and had company with me, Jeff Hornick, good guy and fellow OHPV list member.
I didn’t want to leave him in unfamiliar territory so choose to take it easy. On the plus side, my camera didn’t cut out as it has on past rides (usually the vibration turns the ATC3k off at the most inconvenient times - like flying down hills at 50mph and getting home and finding NOTHING!)
Jeff did pretty well for having his Rans since May, to get faster and stronger, just rack up the miles and ride faster…

When ask where you want to meet for a Saturday morning ride, your first response is “McDonalds” - giving you an excuse to try out your new “carbo loading” technique.
Video I shot going to McDonalds for this morning’s ride start.
If you eat your latest fast food meal sitting in your car in your driveway, then throwing away the “evidence” in your neighbors garbage can.
After Wednesday’s interval training ride and last night’s “rest” day, tonight I decided to do an easy ride. Listened to the latest podcast from PodRunner “The Pound”, 137bpm, 68rpm.
Did a 5 minute warm-up, then a steady pace at 68rpms (average speed 19.5).
Tomorrow I plan on a 40 mile ride, should put me pver 100 miles for the week.
Being a political junkie that I am, I wasn’t really that excited about McCain…
His views on some issues rub me the wrong way (global warming/climate change, illegal immigration, drilling in ANWR), mind you Obama’s views on things are far worse for America, trust me on this one.
With the selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate - a relatively unknown conservative governor from Alaska - it looks like John McCain wants to win this thing and win with the conservative base on his side (I include myself in the conservative base)!
So, no more feeling like I’ll have to hold my nose voting for the “lesser evil” - McCain hopefully will continue with his streak of good fortune and the country will move in the “right” direction!
