This morning when I downloaded my data from last night’s ride my watch indicated that it’s battery was low and needed to be replaced. The last time this happened I was unable to locate the correct battery. I decided to send the Polar in to have it checked out and have the battery replaced, two weeks later, my watch came back good as new (it’s altimeter went out so I had that fixed). Nothing is wrong with the Polar now, so two weeks without my training tool does seemed a bit long especially when it works properly. I did a search for local companies that stocked the CR2354 and found that Batteries Plus has them. Just got back from a trip to their Beaverton store and sure enough, they had the needed battery!
The Polar S720i is now back in working order, I’ll soon test it out to make sure. $5 and a road trip to pick up the battery and fixing it now, or, $20 (including shipping), and waiting two weeks to have someone else replace it? For me this is a no brainer…
