This year my STP number is 2135 - Each year one of my “goals” has been to get as low a number as possible by registering as soon as registering was made open. Prior years registering was opened up to the public January 1st. This year it was February for non-members of the Cascade Bicycle club, I’m not a member, so, I had to wait.
Today I’ll set up my trike with my numbers so that you can see them on the side when I ride, pin my number on the front of my jersey (since you can’t see my number from the rear when I ride, pinning the number on the back doesn’t make sense), put the number on my helmet, basically getting ready for Saturday.
I’m riding with a new jersey that our group will be wearing – “Saints and Spinners”. We should be noticed.
As years past, this STP should be a great one. The six Seattle to Portland rides I have ridden have all been memorable, each leaving their own impression on my life, the training, group rides, friendships made and the overall excitement these events bring is one reason I’ll continue to ride this event as long as I’m able.
