I’ve been working on my server these past few days… Down, Up, Down, and Up again… the beauty of running my own server or the hazards, what ever the case may be.
Need to look at a viable backup solution, I may have found at least a solution for a large NAS setup – called Openfiler. Looks to be a good way to re-use old hardware. Add new hard drives, a decent controller, setup a hardware raid 5 configuration and I have huge array on my network (huge being 3 terabytes).
As drives get bigger is capacity and cheaper in price, having a large NAS isn’t so crazy.
With 5 weeks left before the WASCO, I really should get back to riding…
