I for one find that have this site has given me another means to remain faithful to my cycling “addiction” and remain in good health and spirits.
Having a family is my primary means of “validation”, having a blog adds an additional venue to share thoughts, perspective and insights – not just another “sounding board” – who wants to hear “yes men” all the time?
Life is too short to not be challenged – through challenge one becomes stronger – be it in one’s beleif system, academic persuits or physical abilities.
It is sad that too many I have met want to remove the challenge that life brings, don’t want to hear about things that may challenge their world view (take “human caused” global warming for instance – those that think we humans are “responsible” for the natural changes going on don’t want to hear otherwise).
“Group Think” is a dangerous thing.
