113.5 miles to go…

5 days to go and 113.5 miles left before I reach 6000 for 2007…

That’s 2000 more than last year and I dodn’t even try to break 4000!

It just means that I’ll have to ride 22.5 mile every day before January 1 (I think that’s doable).

Guestbook #2

Ok, now that I have your attention, I’ve moved my gustbook from the main page and put it on it’s own page, no columns or other formatting to get ing the way…

I’ll still monitor for “vulgarity”, but the large “graffiti” won’t be such a nuisance…

Have fun…

And by the way…

Merry Christmas!

6000 Miles…

I now have 5776 miles ridden for the year! Just a short 224 miles before I hit 6000 miles.

Including tonight, I have eleven days left to ride before the end of the year. That averages out to just over 20 miles per ride (that’s if I ride every day).

I have a challenge! Lets see how close I can get to 6000 miles!

Accountability…

I for one find that have this site has given me another means to remain faithful to my cycling “addiction” and remain in good health and spirits.

Having a family is my primary means of “validation”, having a blog adds an additional venue to share thoughts, perspective and insights - not just another “sounding board” - who wants to hear “yes men” all the time?

Life is too short to not be challenged - through challenge one becomes stronger - be it in one’s beleif system, academic persuits or physical abilities.

It is sad that too many I have met want to remove the challenge that life brings, don’t want to hear about things that may challenge their world view (take “human caused” global warming for instance - those that think we humans are “responsible” for the natural changes going on don’t want to hear otherwise).

“Group Think” is a dangerous thing.

Pod Runner…

Looking for tracks to use in training? My wife clued me into this site:

I’ve added the player to my site…
