What’s the point?

Using Tag as a place to keep my blog, I keep my site “real”. What you see is what you get.

I’m happily married, enjoy cycling, and I’ll admit it, I’m an “odd duck”… I ride a tricycle!

I do have a subtle sense of humor:

And if you are out and about rural Oregon (Newberg, St Paul) and you see a low riding tricyclist (with a happy grin on his face) most likely, you’ll have come across me! Say “Howdy”  will ya?

Results of the Wasco…

I was the only trike to show up - so by default I won the trike division!

Some thoughts:

1) My training worked - I wasn’t lapped!

2) I was the last one on the route

3) This year was REALLY windy - had to pedal to go DOWNHILL!

4) 75 miles in 5 hours - 15.2 MPH average, slow, but finished the course!

5) The last lap was very slow

6) Good results and more to come for the Seattle to Portland!

Weight loss…

Since November, I have lost over 20 pounds! I’m attempting to get down to 185, however, I’ve been bouncing between 192 and 189 for almost a month.

It always seems the last few pounds are the hardest to loose!

The good news is that a persons overall weight isn’t all that important. My body fat percentage is 12% (down from over 20%).

For my age, and height, I’m doing quite well…

Wasco…

The Wasco 75 is this Saturday - wow, where has the year gone?

I have put on new tires, have batteries for my speed and cadence sensors, and generally feel that I’m ready to go!

This week will be “light” riding - I didn’t ride last night (put on new tires, installing batteries), will ride tonight, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be a travel day to The Dalles Oregon (Where the Wasco 75 is held).
