In my current riding schedule, I ride about an hour a night on the trainer, 5-6 days a week and log the ride and what I have eaten during the day. As the year progresses my training routine will soon take me outside with the available daylight growing longer, for which I am so looking forward to!
Moving my training routine to outside, in the fresh air and changing scenery of the ride brings encouragement for further improvement!
This past winter has taught me that I don’t have to ride long hard hours to see improvements.
Knowing that I need to be consistent with my training and eating habbits has helped me loose weight and improve my overall health. Since November I have lost 25 pounds (I’m now 190) and have ridden 1400 miles! At this point last year, I was over 200 pounds and rode almost 850 miles.
In short, the lesson for me this year is “consistency”… Taking time for myself and my health is the best investment for my family overall!
